  • a passport must be international and of an eligible country
  • a passport must be biometric
  • a passport must stay effective for a minimum of 180 days from the date of arrival in PNG
  • a passport must contain at least one blank page for visa stamps
  • all four passport corners must be present in the picture
  • the copy must be of good quality, in color, and show the data clearly

Important: The Papua New Guinea eVisa is electronically connected to the passport provided in the application form. If your passport is lost or there are changes to its data, the PNG visa becomes invalid. In this case, you need to apply for a new Papua New Guinea electronic visa.

Other requirements

The application process takes place online and remotely, so in order to apply, the applicants must meet certain additional requirements for PNG eVisa:

  • a valid passport - must contain at least one blank page for visa stamps
  • a paper copy of the approved Papua New Guinea visa.

Note: It is not allowed to overstay the PNG eVisa. An extension is also not possible. If you wish to stay for a longer time, it is necessary to exit PNG and receive a new Papua New Guinea online visa to return to the country.
